Principle of the 13C UBT Test Kit

13C Urea Breath Test Kit Steps for Use
1.Collect 0-Minute Exhaled Breath
The subject should fast or refrain from eating for at least two hours and slowly blow the exhaled breath into the C13 urea capsule breath test kit exhalation bag and seal it. This is the 0-minute breath sample.
2. Dosing the 13C Urea Capsule
The subject should swallow one urea [¹³C] capsule with 80-100 ml of cool water and wait 30 minutes.
3. 30-Minute Exhaled Breath Sampling
30 minutes after taking the medication, the subject slowly blows the exhaled breath into another collection bag of the C13 UBT test kit and seals it. This is the 30-minute exhaled breath sample.
4. Testing
The 0-minute and 30-minute exhaled breath samples are analyzed for ¹³CO2 using C13 UBT test detector. Results are expressed as δ‰ and subjects are considered Hp positive if δ‰ ≥ 4.0.
